I did a very rough demo on this one in the early 80s that remained hidden for decades. After updating the lyrics, I let the boys work their magic on the music end and this is what we came up with.
lyrics
Why do I feel so bad though I know - No one’s to blame
We tried so long to hide the lies and hoped - It’d never end. (VERSE)
Never have we found the time, to spend alone together
Cause you were walking and I was running, and our paths just seemed to never…
What a crime - To hurt again. (CHORUS)
What a crime - To hurt again.
What we had as lovers - Comes to an end.
Now that all is left of you are visions - In my mind (VERSE)
I want to see you, hold you, feel emotions - One more time.
I listen for your voice, in the darkened corridor
And in my abandoned heart, you’ll live on forevermore.
What a crime - To hurt again. (CHORUS)
What a crime - To have to hurt again.
What we had as lovers - Comes to an end.
What a crime - To hurt again. (CHORUS)
What a crime - To hurt again.
What we had as lovers – Finally ends.
